Expanded Metal

Expanded metal is a form of metal stock made by shearing a metal plate in a press, so that the metal stretches, leaving diamond-shaped voids surrounded by interlinked bars of metals. It is manufactured by simultaneously slitting and stretching the materials with one motion. The common material used is mild steel but can be special ordered with aluminum or stainless steel or galvanized steel.
